We are looking for a skilled and motivated electrical design engineer to drive the “electrical related” R&D activities forward in our team.
In this role, you will be the single electrical and electronics engineer in a product development team, ~20 strong, that consists of embedded software developers, mechanical engineers as well as specialists within algorithm development and measurement technology.
The assignment spans both development of new boards and systems as well as product maintenance, with a strong emphasis on ensuring long-term producibility and robustness of existing and new products.
To succeed in this role, you are curious, open-minded, and comfortable moving from theoretical concepts to hands-on implementation. You are not hesitant to step outside your primary domain of expertise and contin-uously re-evaluate your own ideas to ensure that pragmatic, “good-enough” solutions successfully reach the market.
Tasks:
*Design, layout and board-bring-up of new PCB Boards - from component selection to a working prototype.
*Update of existing boards to ensure continuous producibility of our PCB:s in production.
*Update and identification of other electrical components such as pumps and motors to ensure con-tinuous producibility of our products in production.
*Troubleshoot electromechanical systems at system level, perform root-cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions.
*Create cable drawings and build prototype cables.
*Act as 4th-line support for hardware issues escalated from customers or internal teams.
Experience – minimum requirements
*10+ years of PCB design and layout in a product development context.
*Experience in hands on-trouble shooting of electro-mechanical systems.
*Experience in products that falls under the machinery, or the low voltage directive.
*Experience using orCAD
Meritorious:
*Some c-programm[i]ng skills
*Experience with RF components
*Some experience in the pulp and paper industry
*Fluency in Swedish
