Industries: Mikael has worked as a consultant and advisor in both public and private sectors. The assignments have covered several different industries such as Government Agencies, Municipalities, Pulp & Paper, Automotive, Trade & Wholesale, Steel, E-commerce, Consulting, Retail, among others.
Process Optimization: Since the early 2000s, Mikael has actively worked on and developed methodologies to optimize organizational workflows and processes with system support. The methodology developed is based on the information needs of the organization"s stakeholders at any given time. Furthermore, the methodology handles both organizational and key figure-dependent parameters to best support the chosen strategy in harmony with technology and processes.
Change Management: In nearly all of Mikael"s assignments, he has actively worked with change management to ensure that optimized processes are accepted and adhered to by employees and other stakeholders involved. Mikael has deep knowledge of how focused workshops held over several days can accelerate decision-making and anchoring in an optimal way.
Strategy & Enterprise Architecture: Mikael"s combined competence and experience in IT and operations are well-suited when developing information strategies as well as when implementing project and management models. Procurement: From his time as a line manager, Mikael has extensive experience in both public and private procurement. During his time as Administrative Manager at the Swedish Forest Agency, Mikael was responsible for procurement issues. Furthermore, Mikael has long experience in responding to inquiries within IT and business projects, having worked for several years as both a salesperson and sales support in the preparation of bid responses.
Project and Test Management: During both his time as a line manager and as a consultant, Mikael has worked as a project manager. He has completed project management training at Capgemini and, through his role as a trainer of various methods, has acquired a very good knowledge of both project models and consulting tools. Mikael also has basic training in the PPS project method. He has carried out numerous projects, primarily in the initial phases of change work due to the introduction of new business systems but also as a test manager during the final phases. Business Systems: Mikael has nearly 30 years of experience with business systems, both from line operations and as a consultant and project manager during implementation. His greatest strength lies in the early phases where business and systems need to be woven together into a functioning unit to best support workflows and processes. As Country Manager for Psiam AB, Mikael was responsible for introducing the maintenance system Infor EAM, previously Datastream, to the Swedish market.
E-commerce Systems: In several projects, Mikael has analyzed and recommended approaches for the implementation of e-commerce systems. The focus of the analyses has been on the integration of e-commerce systems and business systems to create a seamless process for the entirety of the digital business.
POS Systems: In several of his assignments as a solution architect and procurer, Mikael has handled requirements and procurement of POS solutions/cash register systems. This includes assignments at NetOnNet/SIBA, Colmec, and during 2022 for Scandinavian Photo. During a period, Mikael was involved in developing a vending machine where payment solutions were an essential part of the solution, as well as the choice of PSP companies.
